Invention Description/ Abstract:

The invention, known as the ReOil system, is an integrated web platform designed to solve the problem in waste management and collection. It creates a complete ecosystem that connects end-users, collectors, and recycling administrators through a web based platform.

Invention Technical Description

The current invention, referred to as the "ReOil" system, offers an innovative solution to the challenges of waste cooking oil management by providing an integrated, web-accessible platform. The system is designed to empower users with actionable insights into oil quality through a suite of AI-powered tools, effectively bridging the gap between technical complexity and user-friendly functionality.
The improper disposal of used cooking oil poses significant environmental risks, particularly in terms of water pollution. At the same time, used oil presents an opportunity for conversion into valuable resources such as biodiesel. However, existing collection methods are often inefficient and inconvenient.
To address these issues, the ReOil system comprises the following key components:
1. AI-Powered Oil Quality Assessment
This module introduces a novel application of computer vision for evaluating the quality of used cooking oil. Users simply capture an image of their oil using a mobile device. An AI model then analyzes the image based on key attributes such as color, clarity, and the presence of contaminants. The oil is subsequently classified into two categories:
o Clean Oil – potentially reusable and suitable for further processing
o Dirty Oil – contaminated and requiring recycling

2. QR Code Identification and Verification System
To ensure secure and efficient transaction logging, the system generates a unique QR code for each collection request. When scanned by the designated oil collector, the QR code automates the verification process, thereby eliminating the need for manual data entry and reducing the risk of human error. This feature ensures accurate tracking and transparency throughout the collection process.
3. Dynamic Incentive Engine
The ReOil system includes a built-in rewards program directly linked to the AI-powered oil quality assessment. Users earn points for each successful oil collection, with the opportunity to receive bonus points for submitting high-quality, clean oil. This incentive mechanism encourages responsible behavior, improves the quality of collected oil, and promotes environmental sustainability.
In summary, the ReOil system integrates cutting-edge AI technology with practical features such as secure verification and user incentives. It represents a significant advancement in sustainable waste oil management by making the collection process more efficient, transparent, and rewarding for users.
