Invention Description/ Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to the field of health technology. More specifically, it pertains to a web-based platform that utilizes computer vision and machine learning algorithms to provide users with accessible, real-time health assessment tools, including food quality analysis, early-stage stroke symptom detection, and Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation.
Invention Technical Description
The present invention, referred to as the "Smart Well" system, addresses existing challenges in health monitoring by offering an integrated, web-accessible platform. This system is designed to empower users with actionable health insights through a suite of AI-powered tools, effectively bridging the gap between technical complexity and user-friendly application.
The primary objective of the invention is to provide a unified and comprehensive platform that consolidates various health assessment functionalities. The system comprises three core functions:
1. Food Quality Assessment Module
This module utilizes computer vision technology to analyze images of food items submitted by users. A machine learning model—trained on a large dataset of food images and corresponding nutritional information—evaluates the food and assigns a simple, easy-to-understand healthiness grade (ranging from A to E). This allows users to assess the nutritional quality of their meals quickly, without the need to manually input ingredients or interpret complex nutritional data.
2. Stroke Symptom Detection Module
This module leverages real-time computer vision to analyze a user's facial features via their device’s camera. The underlying algorithm is trained to detect signs of facial asymmetry, such as a drooping eyelid or an uneven lowering of one side of the mouth—critical and time-sensitive indicators of a potential stroke. Upon detection of such abnormalities, the system immediately alerts the user and recommends seeking urgent medical attention.
3. BMI Calculation Module
This module offers a straightforward tool for calculating the user's Body Mass Index (BMI). By inputting their height and weight, users can receive an instant BMI result, categorized according to recognized health standards (e.g., underweight, normal weight, overweight, obese). The system also provides contextual information about potential health risks associated with each category.
In summary, the Smart Well system integrates advanced AI technologies into a single platform to assist users in monitoring key health indicators, thereby promoting proactive health management in an accessible and efficient manner
